Open-sky: Aligning with gratitude

Fourteen yogis gathered in a muddy Lincoln Park to align the spine and express gratitude. We treated the spine as one unit – being mindful of the movements of the neck in relation to the rest of the back. And we expressed gratitude for our practice (in its eighth week) together. Namaste.

Open-sky: Back-bending observations

In Friday’s class we talked about the importance of giving ourselves space – observing rather than reacting  and judging. A dozen of us expressed this notion through heart openers and back bends – allowing ourselves to be vulnerable and brave at the same time. NamastĂ©.

Little yogis at Open-Sky

Last week we had 19 adult yoginis and five teeny yogis twisting in utkatasana and lengthening in peaceful warrior while surrounded by traffic noise and ten-year old soccer players (turned out part of Watkins had moved their field-day to Lincoln Park!). It was an awesome sight. Talk about concentration.
