Hi fellow Fitness Enthusiasts –

On August 1, I gave up meat (except fish) to see how it would affect my mind and body. Nothing scientific – in fact in retrospect I feel I should have weighed myself and done a body composition scan – but whatever.

In the end, I was more interested in how it made me feel. Those of you who know me well, know that resistance training is a big part of my training routine. Would not eating meat make me weaker? Those of you who know me well, know that anxiety used to shape my existence. Would not eating meat make that worse or better? Those of you who know me well, know I enjoy dinner with friends. Would not eating meat complicate social situations?

Answer: It’s all GOOD, actually GREAT. Unlike giving up sugar (because I am pre-diabetic) and coffee (just to try it – don’t worry am back to hyper-caffeination), giving up meat has meant NO cravings, NO withdrawals, NO bad moods. <3 + 🙂 = g
