DEC TIP #1: WALK. Aiming to give daily mind-body health-wellness tips every day of Dec. Try to get a minimum of 10K steps daily. Can be solitary mind cleansing or social silly w two-legged or four-legged friends

DEC TIP #2: HYDRATE. If water is boring + cold, try herb tea and my personal favorite: coffee. At holiday parties – alternate liquor with water – skip the mixed drinks + egg nog.

DEC TIP #3: CHERISH FRIENDS. Rehoboth half-marathon (8.13 pace) was a bummer of a race for me but survived/finished thanks to run-buddy and friend extraordinaire Elisabeth Pate. Second pic: Post-race bliss

DEC TIP #4: EMBRACE IMPERFECTION. This rose is perfectly imperfect/imperfectly perfect. Amazing, liberating, creative things happen when we embrace imperfection (esp. at high stress times i.e. holidays). “Perfection is the enemy of creation.” -John Updike

DEC TIP #5: STRETCH/YOGA. Work daily on range of motion – including dynamic and static stretching as well as yoga. Namaste!

DEC TIP #6: FIFTYPERCENTVEG. Try making your plate 50 percent veg. Here’s a go-to lunch for me: 30+ g protein, 400-500 cals, loads of vitamins and minerals. Arugula+spinach salad w cashews+cranberries, hardboiled egg, pickled beets/cucumber, toasted (homemade) wholewheat bread with cream cheese and smoked salmon. Bon appetit!

DEC TIP #7: BE CREATIVE! In the kitchen, in the garden, at work, musically, verbally, physically – whatever, whenever – be creative! (pic: old bananas – hate to waste food – turned into muffins).
“Creativity is intelligence having fun.” C -Albert Einstein.
